Privacy notice

Fast TV plays video files from your Mac on a TV on your local network. Fast TV is provided by Austine Amah under the Aesthetically Pleasing brand. Contact support@aestheticallypleasing.app for privacy questions. This notice describes the apps and their licensing service.

Your videos and playlist

Adding a video saves a reference to its location on your Mac. Fast TV keeps playlist order, filenames, file locations, file sizes, selected video and subtitle references locally. Removing an item from the playlist does not delete your original video or subtitle file.

When you connect, the Mac sends playlist titles, playback state and selected video and subtitle data to your TV. This traffic travels between your devices on the local network; the Fast TV licensing service does not receive your videos, subtitles, playlist or filenames. Some playback modes create temporary compatible media on your Mac. The original file remains unchanged; temporary session files are removed during normal session cleanup.

Finding and pairing your TV

Fast TV uses local network discovery, device addresses, a generated receiver ID and a TV device name to find your receiver. A pairing code and temporary access tokens authorize a playback session. Local media and receiver traffic uses HTTP, so it is not encrypted in transit. Use a local network you trust. Closing or stopping a session ends its media access.

The TV stores its randomly generated receiver ID and video fit/fill preference on the TV. The current playlist and playback session are held in memory. The TV app does not create a Fast TV account, process payments or contact the Mac licensing service.

Mac licensing

To activate, validate or deactivate the Mac app, it sends your licence key, a random Mac installation ID and, after activation, an activation instance ID to the Fast TV licensing service over HTTPS. It uses a generic device label; the installation ID is not your Mac's hardware serial number. The app keeps the key and signed entitlement locally using macOS-backed encrypted storage.

The service checks the purchase with Lemon Squeezy. It stores a keyed digest of the licence key, purchase/product identifiers, the generated installation and activation IDs, activation status and timestamps, and any revocation status. The licence database does not store the plaintext licence key. The service and its hosting infrastructure process connection information, including your IP address, for operation and abuse prevention.

Licence checks are requested when due while the Mac app is open. A valid signed entitlement permits up to 30 days between successful online checks. A confirmed refund or revocation takes effect at a later online check; an offline Mac cannot receive a revocation immediately.

Purchases and support

Lemon Squeezy handles checkout and the payment information you provide there under its own privacy notice (https://www.lemonsqueezy.com/privacy). Fast TV does not ask you to enter a card number in either app.

If you contact support, the information you choose to send is used to address your request. Avoid including your full licence key, pairing code, private videos or unrelated personal information. Contact support@aestheticallypleasing.app for help.

Your choices and retention

You can remove playlist entries on the Mac, stop a stream, and deactivate a Mac licence through the app. Deactivation releases its activation slot; it is not a promise that purchase or server records are deleted. Clearing the TV app's local data removes its saved receiver ID and preference. Removing playlist entries never removes the original media files.

The current Fast TV apps contain no advertising SDK or remote usage-analytics integration. Google Play, Google TV, macOS and payment services have their own data practices. This statement does not cover any later website integrations.

This website

Cloudflare hosts the Fast TV website and processes network requests, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site. This website does not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts or a marketing email form. Contact links open your email app; information is sent to us only if you choose to send a message.
